Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the staff at White River Valley High School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year. We are looking forward to the continued partnership with you to ensure our students can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our students need support from both home and school. We are excited about the strong partnership with you and know it will make a great difference in their education. We ask that you guide and support your student’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1. Attend school everyday/arrive on time and ready to learn

2. Complete all homework assignments

3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4. Shares school experiences with you so you can be part of their school life

5. Informs you if they need additional help in classes

6. Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school

During the 2016-17 school year, we will continue the WRV mission of Rigor, Relevance and Positive Relationships. At White River Valley, everyone counts and everyone matters! Our staff is committed to providing our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.

We look forward to a very positive and productive year together! We extend a special, yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible. We want… we need… and we value your involvement and support in your student’s education.

Communication is the key to success here at WRV. We encourage you to contact us if/when the need arises and to stay on top of your student’s educational needs. Please feel free to call or email your student’s teachers/administrators anytime you have a question. We want to be pro-active in communication.

Again, we welcome you to the Wolverine family. It is a place where good things happen for kids. Here’s to an AWESOME new school year as we work together to make our school the best place in the world for students.
